Practice Training Period
Registration and approval of service of practice training period
To register and seek approval for a Practice Training Contract with a Singapore Law Practice, please use the Practice Training Period Online Portal at https://sileportal.edu.sg. The Institute will only accept online registration for practice training contracts under a Singapore Law Practice from May 2025. Entities and individuals who are required to use a form may use the form below for submission via email to the Institute.
Change in the manner of serving the Practice Training Period
Practice trainees who wish to change the manner of serving their Practice Training Period must send in the relevant form(s) below via email to the Institute.

Singapore Bar Admission
Please note that the Form A(1) under the Legal Profession (Admission) Rules 2024 has been amended. Individuals applying for admission as a Lawyer (Non-Practitioner) after 22 April 2025 must use the new version of Form A(1) provided above.

Foreign Practitioner Examination
Registration for the 2025 Foreign Practitioner Examinations has closed. The Institute is undertaking a comprehensive review of the Foreign Practitioner Examinations and will provide an update once the review is complete.
