Admission to the Singapore Bar
Overview
To be admitted to the Singapore Bar, a person:
(1) must meet all the requirements of being a qualified person as defined in the Legal Profession Act 1966 read together with the Legal Profession (Qualified Persons) Rules; and
(2) must also:

have attained the age of 21 years;

be of good character;

have satisfactorily served the practice training period applicable to him;

have attended and satisfactorily completed such courses of instruction as may be prescribed by the Board of Directors; and
-
have passed such examinations as may be prescribed by the Board of Directors.
At present, the course of instruction referred to in 2(d) is the Preparatory Course leading to Part B of the Singapore Bar Examinations and the examinations referred to in 2(e) is Part B of the Singapore Bar Examinations.
