Admission to the Singapore Bar

For individuals who:-

1. became Qualified Persons before 1 November 2023;

2. previously registered for Part B of the Singapore Bar Course and Examinations (or earlier equivalent);

3. have not yet been admitted to the Singapore Bar; and

4. intend to apply for admission to the Singapore Bar,

please note that changes to the framework for admission to the Singapore Bar were recently announced and came into force from 17 July 2024 onwards.

If you not been admitted to the Singapore Bar yet but wish to do so under the previous admission framework and its requirements, you will need to apply to the Minister for Law for an extension of time.

Individuals who became Qualified Persons before 1 November 2023 must apply for any extension of time before Tuesday, 1 October 2024.More information on how to apply and the application form can be found on the Ministry of Law’s website.
