There is no strict minimum amount for general donors. Every contribution is appreciated, and we invite donors to give generously according to their means to support aspiring members of the legal profession.
For donors wishing to name a bursary, this requires a minimum commitment of supporting one Part B student over two sessions.
Donors may name a bursary as long as they commit to supporting one Part B student for 2 years (i.e. 5450 SGD x 2 sessions). Setting up a bursary involves a more defined contribution and may allow for some structure or naming, as well as a more direct involvement in deciding how the bursaries are awarded.
For example, the Audent Chambers Bursary (see our Brochure at SILE Part B Donated Bursaries Fund 2026) has a bursary set up with the intent to support candidates who “have a stated intention to practice community law”.
A general donor contributes to the general bursary pool, and no minimum donation is required.
