Part B
No. You must attend and satisfactorily complete the Course and take the Examinations.
For completeness, all candidates must pass the Part B Examinations within 4 consecutive sessions, failing which they will be required to redo the Course before re-attempting the Examinations. Otherwise, re-takers can sit for re-examinations without redoing the Course. Please refer to the Legal Profession (Admission) Rules 2024 for the specific requirements.

The required documents are indicated in the Part B Application Guide, which will be made available during the online application period.
Upon submitting your online application successfully, you will receive an application confirmation email from the SILE. After the application period has closed, the SILE will assess all applications. The SILE will notify all applicants of the outcome of their applications by email by the date specified in the Part B Application Guide for the session of the Course and Examinations you are applying for.
You must ensure that you are a Qualified Person in order to take the Part B Course and Examinations. Qualified Persons who are neither Singapore citizens nor permanent residents will require a Student’s Pass to take the Part B Course, and may write to the SILE after submission of the online Part B Application at the following address:

Applicants who have missed the deadline may write in to the SILE with supporting reasons. The SILE retains the sole discretion to make any decision on late applications, including directing applicants who have missed the deadline to apply for the next available session of the Part B Course and Examinations.
Deferment of candidature is not permitted. Candidates who are unable to continue may withdraw from the Course and Examinations, and reapply at a later stage. Otherwise, Candidates may re-take any missed Examinations during subsequent sessions of the Course.

The administrative fee for applications for the Part B Course and Examinations is strictly non-refundable. Please refer to the Part B Application Guide.
Candidates who withdraw their candidature will only be eligible for a refund if they apply to withdraw before the applicable deadline as set out in the Part B Application Guide, and if they have completed the form and officially withdrawn their candidature. Any refund granted shall be in the SILE’s sole discretion. Refunds to candidates will only be paid via bank transfer. Please note that the administrative fee is strictly non-refundable.
You will need to indicate your existing and relevant medical conditions in the online application when applying for the Part B Course and Examinations. If you have not done so, you must notify the SILE as soon as possible, and in any event, prior to the Examinations, i.e., before the deadline as indicated in the Part B Application Guide.
There will be no supplementary examinations. Candidates must pass all modules within 4 consecutive sessions of the Part B Examinations, failing which they will be required to re-do the Course before re-attempting the Examinations. Candidates who fail one or more modules will have to re-sit the papers for those modules in a subsequent session of the Part B Examinations. Please refer to the Legal Profession (Admission) Rules 2024 for the specific provisions.
No, there is no appeal process. Any Part B Examination results that are released are final.
No, you cannot make payment using CPF. As for the use of your SkillsFuture Credits and/or Post-Secondary Education Account, please refer to the Part B Application Guide, which will be made available during the online application period.
