        • Admission to the Bar

          To be admitted to the Singapore Bar, candidates must fulfil certain requirements, which vary depending on whether they are local or overseas graduates. These include becoming a Qualified Person, successfully completing the Part A and/or Part B Course & Examinations and undertaking the Practice Training Period. Depending on the chosen pathway, candidates may first be admitted as a Lawyer (Non-Practitioner) before progressing to become an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.

          Being a qualified person is a prerequisite to being admitted to the Singapore Bar. The Legal Profession (Qualified Persons) Rules set out the requirements for graduates from local law schools to be qualified persons.
