Practice Training Requirements
A qualified person may serve the practice training period:
The duration of the practice training period under a practice training contract is 6 months, which must be completed within a continuous period of 8 months. For service of the entire practice training period through working as a Judicial Service Officer or a Legal Service Officer or through working under the supervision of a qualifying relevant legal officer, the duration of the training period is 36 months, which must be completed within a continuous period of 48 months. The Minister for Law has power to exempt a qualified person from any of the requirements under Section 13(1)(c), (d) or (e) and any rules made under Section 10(2)(a), (b), (c) or (d) of the Legal Profession Act 1966. |
