The online application portal is now open. Please read through the 2025 Session 2 Part B Application Guide to understand the overall requirements before proceeding with the application process. This application is open to first-timer applicants only.
This application does not apply to re-takers from the immediately preceding session (i.e., 2025 Session 1). Separate instructions will be provided to re-takers from the immediately preceding session.
Application will close at 5pm on Monday, 26 May 2025.
2. Course Overview
The Part B Course is a mandatory preparatory course leading to Part B of the Singapore Bar Examinations. It is conducted by the Singapore Institute of Legal Education for qualified persons seeking admission as a Lawyer (NP).
Attending the Part B Course and passing the Part B Examinations are requirements for admission as a Lawyer (NP) pursuant to sections 11B(1)(d) and (e) of the Legal Profession Act 1966.
The Part B Course may be held during or outside office hours. The Course is fully online and will be conducted through an online meeting/webinar platform.

4. Part B Donated Bursaries Fund
The Institute is pleased to announce the official launch of the Part B Donated Bursaries Fund as of Monday, 5 May 2025. This new initiative is designed to support financially disadvantaged candidates for the Singapore Bar with their Part B Course and Examinations fees, and was established with the generous donations of members of the legal fraternity. The Part B Donated Bursaries Fund comprises the Jeffrey Chan Wah Teck and Family Bursary, the Herbert Smith Freehills Prolegis Bursary, as well as the Chester Toh Bursary.
